Sigurd Hole´s work as a composer and musician examines different ways of experiencing and listening to music, embracing a curious attitude towards sound as such. He has recieved world-wide critical acclaim for his solo and ensemble works in a wide range of media, and is constantly working on new creative ideas and projects.

Projects in 2024 include concerts with Extinction sounds, Reflections in light (a collaborative work with Arve Henriksen) and Lydreise, as well as compsing a new piece for double bass and hardanger fiddle with Helga Myhr, adapting Roraima for a commissoned version by the Trondheim soloists, and starting the process of making a larger work for string quartet and double bass commissioned by the CIKADA quartet.
